The 8th EFAS Congress is a joint meeting with the 10th Congress of the German Audiological Society (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Audiologie e.V., DGA).

The scientific program contains keynote lectures, structured sessions, poster and free paper sessions as well as tutorial courses.

  • Socioeconomic impact of hearing disorders

  • Noise induced and age-related hearing loss

  • Audiological diagnostics
  • Preservation and regeneration of the auditory system
  • Psychoacoustics

During the first day (Wednesday, June 6th, 2007, morning and early afternoon), some presentations will be given in German. The General Assembly of the DGA (Mitgliederversammlung) will also take place on this first day of the congress at 17:00. Please note that one of the two tutorials on Wednesday afternoon will be held in English as well as the free paper sessions starting at 16:00 (see program overview).

From Thursday, June 7th to Saturday, June 9th, all presentations will be given in English. Please note that one of the two tutorials on Saturday morning will be held in German (see program overview).

The General Assembly of EFAS will take place on Friday noon from 12:30 to 13:30.

The social program includes a welcome reception on Wednesday evening, boat ride and dinner on Thursday evening and a congress banquet on the Heidelberg castle. The congress banquet is included in the registration fees, seats have to be reserved in advance.
